Flashlight / Power Button

The 2nd left side mappable key has the default flashlight.
When i press any button while power is off it does nothing at all not even ending a call.
Iv'e bumped into something more annoying. when the power is off & you press the 2nd mappable flashlight button nothing happens but then when you press the power button the flashlight turns on but if you turn the screen off then try to turn off the flashlight it remains open even after you power on the phone.
