Another way to mute a conversation is to open it and press the right soft key. From there, select option 4, "More," and slide the notification bar to the left.

Hi,
You can mute message conversations by following these steps:
1. Scroll down using the center key to the conversation you wish to mute.
2. Before opening the message, press the right soft key.
